man date.

i've been meaning to post this picture from "vanity fair" for a while now. it's fucking hilarious. these guys are truly cementing themselves as comedic legends with the high quality work they've been churning out these past couple of years. sure, they're saturating the market, but the differnce between them and the others is that they actually put out stuff that's worth watching. it doesn't matter that seth rogen, paul rudd, will ferrell or jonah hill have been in 95% of the last ten comedies to come out. they've all been funny. it's okay in my book to saturate the market so long as you saturate it with strong material. i saw "i love you, man" last night, and it was great. paul rudd is very good and understated and jason segel has some of the funniest lines i've ever heard. this movie also had a very good supporting cast. john favreau, andy samberg, aziz ansari and j.k. simmons had some hilarious scenes in the movie as well. the story and script are not spectacular, but the actors are. everyone is so damn likable that they elevate the movie above the screenplay. these guys have completely taken over comedy, and the great thing is that i still get excited to see their next new movie.
